Add bleed so cuts never show white.

Extend artwork past the trim by mirroring, stretching or repeating the edge. Existing bleed is detected first, so nothing is added twice.

How much bleed do printers want?

3 mm is the common ask in Europe; 0.125 in (about 3.2 mm) in North America.

Will it change my trim size?

No. The trim box is preserved; only the area outside it is added.

Is anything uploaded?

Everything runs in your browser. The file is never uploaded, and the download comes from the same engine that drew the preview.

Does adding bleed make the finished piece larger?

The extension sits outside the trim. The finished trim size stays the same while the outer page area grows.

Which method should I choose?

Mirror reflects the edge; Stretch extends it; Repeat repeats edge content. Compare the preview and choose the least visible result for that artwork.

What if my PDF already has bleed?

The amount is additional bleed to add. Check the existing-bleed note first so you do not add more than the job requires.
