Split PDFs for print jobs

Distinguish spreads from groups

Splitting a spread changes page geometry; splitting every N pages creates file groups. Choose the operation that matches the source.

Check first and last pages

A cover or an incomplete last group may need a different boundary. Use Custom when regular groups do not fit.

Can I create one file per page?

Yes. Choose Every page for individual-page output.

Can I split every ten pages?

Yes. Choose Every N and enter 10 in Pages per file. The last group contains the remaining pages.

Can I choose irregular boundaries?

Yes. Custom lets you set split positions in the page preview instead of using one regular group size.

Will Spreads turn a booklet back into reading order?

Spreads separates spread pages; it is not a general inverse of booklet imposition. Start from a reading-order source where possible.
