Image copyright & usage notice

1. Ownership

The Images are original works authored and owned by PDF Press. Copyright subsists automatically upon creation and is reserved in full. Viewing an Image on this website, hotlinking to it, or discovering its file URL does not transfer, license, or exhaust any right, and creates no permission of any kind.

2. No permitted use outside this site

Except for the temporary copy your browser makes to display this website, you may not — without PDF Press’s prior written consent — do any of the following with any Image, in whole or in part, for any commercial or non-commercial purpose:

• copy, download, save, screenshot, or reproduce it;
• republish, mirror, embed, hotlink, or display it on any other website, app, document, listing, social account, or medium;
• modify, crop, recolor, retouch, or create derivative or adapted works from it;
• sell, license, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercialize it;
• distribute, transmit, or make it available to any third party;
• remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, watermark, credit, or embedded metadata;
• use it to imply endorsement, affiliation, or authorship by PDF Press.

3. No scraping, text/data mining, or AI training

PDF Press expressly reserves all rights, including the rights of reproduction and text-and-data mining, in the Images. Automated collection — including crawling, scraping, harvesting, or bulk downloading — is prohibited. The Images may not be used, in whole or in part, as input to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or ground any machine-learning model, dataset, generative-AI system, or embedding, whether or not the output reproduces an Image. This reservation applies notwithstanding any robots directive and constitutes an express machine-readable reservation of rights against text-and-data mining.

4. Legal basis & enforcement

The Images are protected under the copyright laws of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code), the Berne Convention, the WIPO Copyright Treaty, the EU Directive 2001/29/EC and 2019/790 (including the Article 4 text-and-data-mining opt-out exercised above), the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. Unauthorized use is copyright infringement.

PDF Press actively monitors for misuse and will enforce its rights to the fullest extent permitted by law. Remedies for infringement may include injunctive relief, actual damages and disgorgement of profits, statutory damages (up to US $150,000 per work for willful infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 504), and recovery of legal costs and attorneys’ fees.

5. DMCA & takedowns

Where an Image has been copied without authorization, PDF Press will issue takedown notices under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent notice-and-takedown regimes to hosts, search engines, CDNs, marketplaces, and platforms, and may pursue repeat-infringer and hotlinking claims.

6. Governing law

This notice and any dispute arising from the use of the Images are governed by applicable copyright law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and PDF Press’s reservation of all rights is unaffected.

7. Requesting written permission

All use requires prior written permission. To request a licence, contact PDF Press with the exact Image URL, the intended use, the publication or product, the audience and distribution, and the duration. Absent a signed written grant from PDF Press, no permission exists and all rights remain reserved.
